Vitamin D3

A very special vitamin that can significantly influence human health. However, this fat-soluble vitamin not only needs to be absorbed through diet but can also be formed in the skin with the help of sunlight. Since our food contains only limited Vitamin D, the body’s own production accounts for the main supply of about 75 – 90%. However, endogenous production is influenced by numerous factors and can be affected, for example, by sun protection products with UV protection or the angle of incidence of the sun. In Central Europe, especially during the winter months, natural Vitamin D formation decreases due to weak sunlight, making targeted supplementation in the form of a micronutrient preparation seem sensible.
