Organic curcuma / turmeric

Turmeric/curcuma, also known locally as yellow root. Curcuma is considered a very special root. Turmeric comes from South Asia. We know the spice from Indian curry blends and love using it for cooking. This popular spice is known not only for its intense yellow color, but also for its many positive properties. Turmeric belongs to the ginger family and tastes different from ginger—mildly spicy and even slightly bitter. The root contains, among other things, essential oils and the active ingredient curcumin. This contributes significantly to why turmeric is so healthy.
