When to take what – and what’s the right amount?
Supplement effectiveness depends not only on the quantity but also on the timing. Some require fat, others an empty stomach; some substances support each other, while others hinder each other when they end up in the stomach together. The Supplement Planner organizes your products into a daily schedule, calculates your daily dose, and tells you how it compares to official guidelines.
The result is a daily plan: on an empty stomach in the morning, with food, in the evening. Each product is placed where it works best.
You enter what’s on your package. The planner calculates the daily amount and compares it with official guidelines.
Some products support each other, while others hinder each other in the stomach. The planner tells you which of your products should be taken with a sensible time gap.

About You voluntarily
Some guidelines differ by age and gender – significantly so for iron, for example. If you wish, enter it; the planner will then calculate with the appropriate numbers and always state why. Without this information, it calculates with general adult values.

Two pieces of information per product: what is in one capsule, tablet, or portion – and how many of them you take per day. The planner calculates the daily amount from this and immediately reports how it compares to the guidelines.

Where the numbers come from
The guidelines come from the reference values of the D-A-CH societies for nutrition and from the maximum levels of the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA). For some substances, you will find no upper limit – there simply isn’t one that is scientifically justified. In such cases, we prefer not to state any rather than invent one: a red warning for an amount that is common and permissible in Switzerland unnecessarily causes uncertainty and devalues warnings that are truly important. What needs to be considered in such cases is stated in a sentence for the respective substance.
There are two things the planner cannot know. First, what is already on your plate – a reference value applies to the total intake, not to the capsule alone. Second, what else is in a combination product: if a multivitamin and a single supplement both contain zinc, these amounts add up, and you must sum both quantities.
Important Note
This planner does not replace medical advice. The information provided consists of general guidelines for healthy adults and may differ significantly from your personal needs. It does not provide a diagnosis, identify deficiencies, or know your medical history.
Speak with your doctor or pharmacist before starting a supplement or changing an amount – especially if you are taking medication, have an illness, are pregnant, or breastfeeding. Different values apply to children and adolescents than those stored here.
The dosage information on your product’s packaging always takes precedence over the information from this tool. Too much of a substance can be harmful – for fat-soluble vitamins and trace elements like selenium and iron, the gap between “enough” and “too much” is small.
