Hawthorn (Crataegus) is native to the northernmost regions of Europe. Hawthorn stands out with its exceptionally abundant white blossoms that unfold from May to early July. Its berries are glossy red. The hawthorn gets its name from its flowers and because sharp thorns grow on its branches. The primary constituents of hawthorn leaves and berries include flavonoids, which are secondary plant compounds. Additionally, we’ve added folic acid and iron.
