Modern Natura Crystal Water Drinking Set with Glass Carafe and Crystal Blend

The stones in the basic mixture can be reused almost indefinitely. It is recommended to rinse the used stones about once a week under clear, running water and then let them dry completely in the air or briefly in the sun before putting them back into the cotton sieve for the next filling. Amethyst and rose quartz should not be left in direct sunlight permanently, as intense UV radiation can slightly bleach the color over a long period—a short drying phase on the windowsill is completely harmless. The remaining part of the basic mixture that has not yet been used is immediately available as a fresh reserve.

For one carafe, we recommend about 30 percent of the total amount—for 500g, that corresponds to about 150g of stones per filling. Since the same stones can be used multiple times, there is no fixed "consumption" per carafe. The 500g serves as a generous supply for rotation: while one portion is steeping in the carafe, a second can already be drying. As a practical guide: the amount of stones should fill the cotton sieve about halfway without packing it too tightly—this allows the water to circulate well through the fabric. Three portions of 150g each provide an initial supply for several weeks.

The selection of these three stones follows a clear mineralogical criterion: amethyst, rock crystal, and rose quartz all belong to the quartz family (silicon dioxide SiO₂, Mohs hardness 7). Quartzes are among the most chemically stable minerals—they practically do not react with water at room temperature and do not degrade mineralogically. For a mixture that is regularly in direct contact with water, this property is crucial. Added to this is the visual effect: the three shades of violet, clear, and pink complement each other attractively in the transparent glass carafe. The combination is deliberately put together so that it can be used without prior knowledge and without mineralogical risk.

The set is designed and recommended for cold to room-temperature drinking water. Hot water is not suitable: amethyst is sensitive to prolonged exposure to heat—over time, high temperatures can cause the characteristic violet coloring to fade. Furthermore, the glass carafe is not designed for sudden temperature changes; pouring in boiling water stresses the material significantly more than at room temperature. Rose quartz and rock crystal are more heat-resistant, yet the general rule is: water stones in drinking set format are intended for cool to room-temperature applications. For tea or other hot drinks, a separate heat-resistant vessel is recommended.

Placing quartz stones in water does not measurably change its chemical composition: SiO₂ minerals are practically insoluble at room temperature and do not release ingredients in relevant concentrations—pH value and mineral content remain unchanged. What many users experience as an actual change is the routine itself: the preparation, waiting, and conscious pouring creates a small ritual character in everyday life. The stones are natural minerals with their own aesthetic that makes drinking water a visually different experience. Before a longer break, we recommend: empty the carafe completely, rinse it with clear water, and let it air dry open—never store it damp or closed, as biofilm can form in standing residual water. Take the stones out of the cotton sieve, rinse them, and dry them completely. Dry the cotton sieve separately before putting it away, as moisture promotes mold growth in natural fibers. Store amethyst and rose quartz protected from light to prevent long-term color changes caused by UV radiation. After a break, a quick rinse of all components under clear water is enough to put the set back into operation immediately.
