Application:
Clean the stones under cold water after unpacking. Add about 300 grams of stones to 1 to 2 liters of water. Leave the water in the covered glass container overnight and enjoy your own water in the morning.
Special features of first shungite cleaning:
It is often complained that the dust from shungite floats around in the water and the stones require a lot of effort during the first cleaning. Many see it relaxed and many ask if it is normal that shungite is different from other water stone mixtures. Some shungite dust is not a problem either. It cannot be avoided that the dust continues to settle for a while after use.
Shungite stones need to be cleaned somewhat more intensively than other stones for preparation.
It has proven effective to place the stones in a suitable stainless steel pot and then let enough water run in until the water is about 2 cm above the stones. You can also wear a rubber glove during the work. Or rub the stones with your hand under water.
The stones do not need to be completely freed from dust. It is enough if the coarse dusty layer is gone. Then pour out the water and clean the pot. Now place the stones in the clean pot again and rinse again. Then clean the pot again and repeat the procedure. (3 times total)
Now you can place the stones in a carafe. Either with a sieve (cotton) for carafes or without.
Please leave overnight. With shungite, the rule applies that the last 200 ml of the finished water should not be drunk. However, the water can be used for watering flowers, etc.
Cleaning:
As needed, rinse the stones once a week under clear water and let them dry in the sun so they can recharge.
