Modern Natura Krill Oil Capsules – With High-Strength Omega-3 Fatty Acids
Krill oil is one of nature’s most exciting omega-3 sources—and it stands out from classic fish oils in one key way: a significant share of the valuable omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA is bound to phospholipids. These are the same structures that make up the membranes of our own body cells. This remarkable profile is complemented by natural astaxanthin, which gives the oil its characteristic reddish color, as well as choline-containing phospholipids—a combination you’ll hardly find in any other oil.
Our Krill Oil Capsules contain 100% pure Superba™ Krill Oil in small, easy-to-swallow liquid capsules. With this bottle, you secure your Omega-3 supply for several months in advance – ideal for anyone who values a consistent, uninterrupted daily routine and consciously wants to rely on a high-quality marine oil.

What makes krill oil so special
Krill oil is one of the most interesting omega-3 sources nature has to offer. Its special feature isn’t just the content of the valuable long-chain fatty acids EPA and DHA—but above all the form in which these fatty acids occur in the oil: bound to phospholipids, i.e., the structures that also make up the membranes of our own body cells. Combined with natural astaxanthin as the characteristic color pigment and choline-containing phospholipids, this results in a composition that’s remarkable in this combination.
Our capsules contain 100% pure Superba™ krill oil—obtained under strict quality standards and gently processed so the sensitive fatty acids stay fresh and valuable accompanying compounds like phospholipids and astaxanthin are preserved.
Liquid capsules with a special oil from shrimp/krill (Euphausia superba) that, in addition to the valuable long-chain omega-3 fatty acids eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), also contains important phospholipids and the carotenoid astaxanthin.

The effects reviewed by the EFSA (European Food Safety Authority) and recognized as scientifically proven are referred to as health claims. The statements below relate exclusively to the nutrients mentioned and require regular intake as part of a balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle.
Eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA):
- contribute to normal heart function
- contribute to the maintenance of normal blood pressure
- contribute to the maintenance of normal blood triglyceride levels
Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA):
- contributes to the maintenance of normal brain function
- contributes to the maintenance of normal vision
- contributes to the maintenance of normal liver function
- contributes to normal fat metabolism
- contributes to normal homocysteine metabolism
EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) are polyunsaturated fatty acids from the omega-3 class. Our body can produce these two long-chain fatty acids only to a very limited extent—so it depends on getting them regularly from food. In modern diets, omega-3-rich foods often fall short, while omega-6 fatty acids from vegetable oils clearly dominate. Targeted supplementation can help achieve a more balanced ratio—and that’s exactly where krill oil, with its special composition, comes in.
The subtle but crucial difference: krill oil vs. fish oil
Krill oil and ocean fish oil are both rich in omega-3 fatty acids, mainly eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). At first glance they seem similar—but a closer look reveals remarkable differences. While in conventional fish oil EPA and DHA are mostly bound to triglycerides, krill oil contains a significant share of omega-3 fatty acids linked to phospholipids—i.e., the structures that also make up the membranes of our own body cells. This natural similarity makes phospholipid-bound omega-3 fatty acids a particularly body-identical starting basis.
In addition, krill oil is rich in choline-containing phospholipids, with a phosphatidylcholine concentration of around 34 g per 100 g of oil. A notable content of natural astaxanthin is also characteristic: this carotenoid from the pigment family gives krill oil its characteristic deep red color. Depending on the processing method, the astaxanthin content ranges between 0.1 and 1.5 mg per milliliter. Fish oils generally do not contain this carotenoid—another reason why krill oil is considered a special rarity among marine oils.
Gentle on the stomach, easy to take
